Frequently Asked Questions
Adoption is a legal process in which children join a new family. This happens when their birth family is not able to take care of them in the way they need to be safe and grow. There are lots of professionals involved in these decisions such as a Judge, Social Workers and lots of other people who know the child well. These decisions are made to make sure the child is safe and the child is never to be blamed for why their birth family couldn’t keep them safe. Sometimes, children can have lots of different feelings about adoption. All feelings are okay. It’s important to know that you are not alone, and the grown-ups around you are here to help you feel safe, cared for, and understood.
