The Anchor Team is a multi-disciplinary therapeutic support service for adoptive families in Berkshire and Swindon, and special guardianship families in Wokingham and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Swindon. (The Attach team is the therapeutic support service for Oxfordshire families.)
We run a variety of events and training throughout the year.
Foundations for Attachments

Interoception Awareness Training
Would you like to know more about our eighth hidden sense and how our early experiences can impact its development?
Come and join the Anchor Team’s Occupational Therapist for an online experiential session to learn about the benefits of promoting Interoception Awareness. Lunchtime or evening session. Choice of dates: 15 October or 3 November 2026. More details and how to book here
Sensory Integration Training
This training will explore how trauma can affect a child’s ability to successfully navigate their environment and participate in daily activities. Lunchtime or evening session. Choice of dates: 15 September or 20 October 2026. More details and how to book here
Building Bonds through the Senses

Adults Affected by Adoption
Adults Affected by Adoption refers to adopted adults, birth relatives of adopted adults, and descendants of adopted adults. Each group has varying rights to services, some of which Adopt Thames Valley provide directly and some are provided by other agencies.
